I’ve always thought of horse racing as an interesting sport, albeit rather cruel from an animal lover perspective. That doesn’t stop horse racing from becoming a popular sport in Malaysia that has been enjoyed for over a century though. 

The first racing club was established in Penang in 1864. The Perak Turf Club was built next in 1886 and later on, the Selangor Turf Club came into existence in 1896. Today, there are several racing clubs throughout the country that offer exciting races and events for horse racing enthusiasts.

The Selangor Turf Club is one of the most popular racing clubs in Malaysia. Located in the city of Kuala Lumpur, the club offers a variety of races throughout the year, including local and international events.
